About Us

Ekpenyong is a dedicated registered nurse with 25 years of experience in geriatric nursing, including nursing home infection prevention, wound care, hospice care, transitional care, respite care, and long- term care. He transitioned into management fourteen years ago to make an even more significant impact. His clinical expertise has shaped him into an effective leader in various roles, such as a building charge nurse, transitional care nurse manager, director of nursing, and a registered nurse consultant. He was named MN Veterans Affairs Hero Nurse in 2020 when he traveled to Silver Bay, Minnesota, to volunteer with the Minnesota Department of Veterans Administration during the COVID- 19 pandemics.

With a passion for cross-boundary collaboration, he has developed integrated approaches to delivering patient-centered, high-quality services. As a Director of Nursing, Ekpenyong exemplifies what it means to lead an effective and productive team. A testament to his high standards and performance, he received excellent results during the Minnesota Department of Health annual survey in September 2024. Wanting to increase his influence in providing excellence in the nursing home field, Ekpenyong founded Legal Medic LLC to empower healthcare facilities by providing highly trained professional nurses for management roles and line staff.

Each nurse who joins Legal Medic LLC undergoes rigorous training that covers essential nursing fundamentals, state and federal regulations, and computerized operational systems. This thorough preparation equips them to rise to the challenges and opportunities in their roles. With Ekpenyong’s experience as a nursing assistant, trained medication assistant, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, and nurse leader, he continually educates, trains, and mentors his team to be the best in the business.
